Would you like to rotate an image in OpenOffice? For this you need OpenOffice Draw. Just follow our instructions..

Unfortunately there is no function in OpenOffice word processing programs ( such as the Writer) to rotate an image directly. You need to edit the image in OpenOffice Draw first. We'll show you how to do this in the following article.

Note: You automatically downloaded OpenOffice Draw when you downloaded the general OpenOffice suite. Just search for " OpenOffice Draw " in the start menu ..

1st step:

Open OpenOffice Draw . At the top, click Insert . A menu bar opens in which you select " Image ". Then click on " From File ... " and select the desired image .

2nd step:

The inserted picture is now visible in the program. There are eight green dots as a frame around it. Click on one of the green points .

The green dots have now turned red .

Click one of the corner points, and then drag the image. So you can easily rotate it. When the image has reached the desired position, press the key combination [Ctrl] + [C] .

Now open the OpenOffice word processing program of your choice, such as the Writer . Use the key combination [Ctrl] + [V] to insert the graphic. You can then drag it into position and scale it.

quick start Guide

  1. Open OpenOffice Draw .
  2. In the menu bar click on the " Insert " tab , then on " Image " and finally on " From file ... ". Then select the image you want.
  3. Click on the green dots on the edge of the image file. These will then turn red .
  4. You can now rotate the image at each individual corner point by clicking on the point and then dragging in the desired direction.
  5. After you have successfully rotated the image and it is still highlighted, you need to press the key combination [Ctrl] + [C] to copy it.
  6. Then open the OpenOffice program in which you want to insert the graphic, such as the Writer . Press the key combination [Ctrl] + [V] to paste the picture. Now you can drag it in place and scale the size.
