Do you want to see your iPhone appointments on other devices or synchronize them with other calendar apps? This is how it works

Do you use the Apple calendar on your iPhone, but for example the Outlook or Google calendar in the office? No problem! You can easily link the different calendars with one another. And thanks to iCloud, you can also easily synchronize your iPhone calendar on all your Apple devices. So you have your appointments not only in your pocket, but also on your wrist and at your desk. We explain both options to you below.

Sync iPhone calendar with iCloud

1st step:

Open the settings of your iPhone and tap on the first entry, your profile . There you tap on " iCloud ".

2nd step:

Now look for the calendar and activate the switch. The calendar is now synchronized on all devices on which you are signed in with your Apple ID .

1st step:

Open the iPhone settings and scroll down a little to " Passwords & Accounts ".

2nd step:

Now tap under Accounts on " Add Account ".

3rd step:

Then tap either on one of the providers offered (you will then be automatically redirected to the corresponding login) or on " Other " if you want to link another provider.

4th step:

Under " Calendar " tap on " Add CalDAV Account ".

5th step:

Then enter the account details for the respective calendar application. Our example is for the GMX calendar. You can usually find out what you have to enter under " Server " from the respective calendar services. The best way to do this is to google "CalDAV Server Provider " or contact the relevant customer service. The account is then checked. After that, all changes you make, whether in the Apple or GMX calendar, are synchronized.

6th step:

In the iPhone calendar app , you can then specify which calendar content should be synchronized more precisely. To do this, tap on " Calendar " at the bottom and make your settings there for the linked calendar.

1st step:

Open the calendar app and tap in the lower center on " Calendar ".

2nd step:

Select the calendar you want and then tap on the small "i" symbol on the right .

3rd step:

If the calendar has not yet been shared, tap " New person " under " Shared with " to invite someone to the calendar.

4th step:

Type the person's name into the text field or alternatively select the " + " to select a person from your contacts. Confirm your selection with " Add ". Now the invited person has to accept the invitation to the calendar by tapping on " Inbox " in the lower right corner of the calendar app .

Quick start: syncing calendars with other calendars

1. Open the settings of your iPhone and go to " Passwords & Accounts " .
2. Then tap on " Add Account " and select either one of the providers listed (you will then be redirected to the appropriate login) or on " Other " .
3. Now tap on "Add CalDAV Account " and enter the data for the respective calendar application. All changes are then synchronized.

Quick start: Share and share your calendars

1. Open the calendar app and tap " Calendar " at the bottom center .
2. Select the calendar you want to share and tap the small " i " on the right .
3. Under “ Shared With, ” tap “ New Person ”.
4. Tap on the " + " to select a person from your contacts or type their name directly into the text field.
5. Confirm with " Add ". The invitee now also has the calendar app open and the bottom right " input type" to be able to see the shared calendars.
