Would you like to name your Amazon Alexa devices after the rooms in which they are used? That's how it's done!

Do you have multiple Amazon Echo or Alexa-enabled devices that you want to connect? For example, music can be played in the living room and bedroom at the same time, but in one of the rooms at a lower volume if desired (here we show you how to set up a multiroom music group). It makes sense to change the names of the devices beforehand in order to be able to address the individual devices directly. This is how the renaming works:

1st step:

Open the Alexa app and open the menu (☰) in the top left.

In the menu, tap on " Settings ".

3rd step:

Then tap on " Device Settings ".

Then go to your Echo device that you want to change the name of.

To change the name, tap on " Edit name " at the top under the current device name .

Now enter a new device name and confirm with " Next ".
