If you don't like Siri, you can also install the Google Assistant on your iPhone - and even activate it with the "Ok Google" command via your voice. In this post we explain how to download the wizard and set it up correctly on your iPhone.

How to use the Google Assistant on iPhone

1st step:

Open the App Store on your iPhone and search for " Google Assistant ". Then download the app and open it.

2nd step:

Now log in with your Google account and activate the " Voice & Audio Activities ". If you do not activate this option, you will not be able to use the "Ok Google" function on your iPhone.

3rd step:

Now open the settings of your iPhone and tap on " Siri & Search ".

4th step:

There you go to " Assistant ".

5th step:

Then activate the two options " Siri & Suggestions " and " In the lock screen ".

6th step:

If you haven't activated Siri yet, you need to do so now. You can read here how exactly you set up Siri. Then add a shortcut for the Google Assistant by tapping My Shortcuts .

7th step:

Now tap on " Hey Google " and say the command " Ok Google " so that your smartphone can save and recognize your voice.

If you want to activate the Google Assistant with your voice, first say " Hey Siri, Ok Google " and then again " Ok Google ". It's not an elegant solution, but this is the only way Google has managed to bypass the Apple locks and activate the assistant even when it is locked.

1. Open the App Store and download the Google Assistant .
2. Then open the app and log in with your Google account . Also, enable the Voice & Audio Activities option .
3. Then open the iPhone settings and tap on " Siri & Search ".
4. There tap on " Assistant " and then activate the options " Siri & Suggestions " and " In the lock screen ".
5. You'll need to activate Siri , if you haven't already, and then add a shortcut for the Google Assistant by tapping "My Shortcuts" and choosing "Hey Google". You can find out how to activate Siri here.
6. To activate the Google Assistant by voice command, say " Hey Siri, Ok Google " and then " Ok Google " again.
