If you don't like Siri, you can also install the Google Assistant on your iPhone - and even activate it with the "Ok Google" command via your voice. In this post we explain how to download the wizard and set it up correctly on your iPhone.

How to use the Google Assistant on iPhone

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the quick start guide .

1st step:

Open the App Store on your iPhone and search for " Google Assistant ". Then download the app and open it.

Now log in with your Google account and activate the " Voice & Audio Activities ". If you do not activate this option, you will not be able to use the "Ok Google" function on your iPhone.

Now open the settings of your iPhone and tap on " Siri & Search ".

There you go to " Assistant ".

Then activate the two options " Siri & Suggestions " and " In the lock screen ".

If you want to activate the Google Assistant with your voice, first say " Hey Siri, Ok Google " and then again " Ok Google ". It's not an elegant solution, but this is the only way Google has managed to bypass the Apple locks and activate the assistant even when it is locked.

  1. Open the App Store and download the Google Assistant .
  2. Then open the app and log in with your Google account . Also, enable the Voice & Audio Activities option .
  3. Then open the iPhone settings and tap on " Siri & Search ".
  4. There tap on " Assistant " and then activate the options " Siri & Suggestions " and " In the lock screen ".
