Updates are important to close security gaps and to keep your software always up to date. Problems can certainly arise, for example if the admin has deactivated the updates for the Chrome browser. This can of course also happen if you are the administrator yourself, but this problem is easy to fix.

How to enable the updates for Chrome

1st step:

Enter " regedit " in the Windows search bar and right-click on the entry " Registry Editor ". Then click on "Run as administrator " and enter the administrator's username and password if necessary .

Now open the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Google \ Update and double-click on the " UpdateDefault " entry to edit it.

Now change the value from 0 to 1 and then click on " OK ". Now close the registry window and start Chrome . The browser should now automatically search for new updates and install them automatically.
