If you receive the error message 0x80004005, there can be many reasons. But you don't have to despair..

Error 0x80004005 can cause a lot of annoyance because it is not clear where exactly the problem is coming from. But don't worry, you should be able to get rid of the error message with our guide.

Change user account control

If you encounter the error while trying to open a shared folder, you can make a change in the registry. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the quick start guide .

1st step:

Enter " regedit " in the Windows search bar and then right-click on " Registry Editor ". Then select " Run as administrator ".

Now navigate to the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ System and then right-click in the right field. Then select " New " and " QWORD value (64-bit) ".

Now name the new key " LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy ". Then double click on it and change the value to 1 . Then do a restart .

Delete temporary files
