Would you like to connect your Windows 10 computer to the Internet via USB tethering? We'll show you how..
A constant Internet connection under Windows 10 via LAN or WLAN is not always and everywhere possible. However, you can still connect your PC to the Internet using USB tethering. All you need is a smartphone with a stable internet connection, e.g. via mobile data.
For USB tethering, a mobile device such as a smartphone must be connected to the computer via a USB connection. The computer can then connect to the Internet through this device instead of, for example, being connected via a LAN cable. In this case, the connection is established via a smartphone via the cellular network. Instead of a router or modem, the cell phone is now used. By the way, the word "tether" comes from English and can be translated as "bind".
Please note that tethering is not permitted with all mobile devices and mobile network providers. Please check beforehand whether and in what form your mobile operator allows tethering. Your smartphone can also be a problem. You must therefore find out in advance whether your cell phone is suitable for this. Most Android devices can also be made usable as tethering devices by rooting, for example. However, rooting void the warranty and problems in function and safety could occur..
