If you use Snapchat, you've probably stumbled upon the term "memories". We explain to you what it is all about..

In Snapchat Memories you can save photos and videos permanently so that they don't disappear after a short time as usual. We will explain how to use this feature in the following.

How to Use Snapchat Memories

Once you've made the perfect snap, it's easy to save your pictures. All you have to do is make a few settings and you're ready to go. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the quick start guide .

1st step:

Open Snapchat on your smartphone and tap your profile picture in the top left .

2nd step:

There, tap the gear in the top right to open the settings.

3rd step:

Now scroll down to the heading " Who can ... " and tap on the entry " Memories ".

4th step:

Now tap on " Save " under " Storage locations ".

5th step:

You now have the choice between three options: " Memories ", " Memories and recordings " and " Only in recordings ". So you can not only save your snaps in your memories, but also on your smartphone in your gallery. However, in order to be able to use the memories function, you must select one of the first two options.

6th step:

Now to save something in the memories, go back to the Snapchat home screen and take a photo or video. Then tap the arrow icon at the bottom left .

7th step:

The snap has been saved successfully if you now see a tick instead of the arrow . You can do this even if you don't have an internet connection . Snapchat will then automatically create a backup of new content as soon as you are connected again.

8th step:

To view your memories now, wipe on the Starrtbildschirm of Snapchat for up to open the memories tab.

Note: Your friends cannot see your memories. However, you can share saved snaps at any time..

1. Open Snapchat on your smartphone, tap your profile picture in the top left and then tap the gear in the top right to go to Settings.
2. There tap on " Memories " and then on " Save ".
3. You will now be presented with three options. However, in order to use Memories, you must select one of the first two options.
4. Now go back to the Snapchat home screen and take a photo or video. Then tap the arrow icon at the bottom left . The snap has been saved when you see a tick below instead of the arrow .
