With the "Snapchat" app you can send so-called "snaps" (photos or videos) to your contacts. These snaps can only be viewed by the recipient for a few seconds. In this tipps + tricks article, we'll show you how to create a Snapchat account. You can only register with Snapchat using the app.

Register with Snapchat

  1. To do this, first download the Snapchat app from the Google Play Store or the App Store . Once Snapchat is downloaded and installed, start the app .
  2. Then tap the Sign In field . You will now be asked to enter your first and last name . In addition, you have to accept the terms of use and the data protection regulations . Then click on " Sign In and Accept " to continue.
  3. Now you have to enter your date of birth and confirm your entry with " Next ". You will then be redirected to entering your username.
  4. There you have to define your username . You will also be shown to other Snapchat users under this name. To confirm your name, tap " Next " again.
  5. You will now be redirected to enter your password . The password must be at least eight characters long. Enter your password and confirm with " Next ".
  6. Then you have to enter your e-mail and confirm again with " Next ". You should then enter your mobile phone number . This number will be used to suggest you to friends and acquaintances who have saved your number. To continue, click " Next " again.
  7. Finally, a verification code will be sent to your mobile number via SMS . You have to enter this (if necessary, Snapchat will automatically recognize the code from the SMS) and confirm again with " Next ". 
  8. This completes the registration process . A few contacts will now be suggested to you.
