Microsoft's PowerPoint allows you to insert footers that allow you to view information at the bottom of your slides. This information usually includes the name of the presenter, the title of the presentation, the date, or the page number. In order to insert a header on your slides, you must first create a footer and then convert it into a header.

How to insert a header in PowerPoint

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Open your PowerPoint presentation and switch to the " Insert " tab at the top . Click on the " Header and Footer " button in the " Text " category .

2nd step:

In the " Foil " tab, check the " Footer " option . Then write in the text field below what should be in the future header. Then click on the " Apply to all " button to insert the footer on every slide, or on " Apply " to insert the footer on the current slide only. You can also choose not to display the header on the title page .

  4. Then move the text fields of the footer up to where you want the header to be. You do this for all slide layouts that you use in your presentation. If you close the slide master with " Close master view", you will see that a header now appears in your presentation.
