If you want to reset your iPhone to factory settings or take it to an Apple Store for repair, you will be asked to deactivate the "Find my iPhone" function beforehand. This can be done in the settings of the iPhone or via iCloud . We explain both methods to you:

1st step:

Open Settings on your iPhone and tap your Apple ID (name) at the top .

Now tap on " iCloud ".

Swipe down a little further to the item " Find my iPhone " and tap on it.

Now tap on the button next to " Find my iPhone " to deactivate this function.

You will now be asked to enter your Apple ID password . Confirm your entry by tapping on " Deactivate ".

The button is now white and the function is deactivated . If you want to reactivate " Find my iPhone " , tap the button again.

Open iCloud from your browser . Enter your Apple ID and your password and after logging in, open " iPhone Search " in the main menu .

Re-enter your Apple ID and password and click " Login ".

Now click on top of " all devices " and choose the device for which you want to disable the iPhone's search.

4th step:

Now click on " From the account Remove ". So that is search function disabled.

  2. Under " iCloud "> " Find my iPhone " tap the button next to " Find my iPhone ".
