Working with headers and footers in Microsoft Word isn't as easy as you probably want it to be. When you add a header or footer to a document, the text in it automatically appears on all pages. However, inserting a header only on the first page of your document is relatively easy because Word already offers an option.

Open your Word document and then switch to the " Insert " tab at the top .

2nd step.

There you click on " Header " and then on " Edit Header ".

3rd step:

Now check the option " First page different ".

4th step:

Now enter the desired text in the header. You will see that the text does not carry over to the other pages of your document.
