You don't have to save your bookmarks on your PC first. Chrome does this for you. Follow our step-by-step guide to find the file:

Open the " Run " dialog. To do this, press the key combination [Windows] + [R] . Enter " % localappdata% \ Google \ Chrome \ User Data \ Default \ " in the free field and confirm your entry with [Enter] . This path will take you straight to the folder where Chrome is located.

The saved bookmarks can be found in the " Bookmarks.bak " file . If you want to open the file, you can right-click and select the editor .

macOS: Here you will find your bookmarks file

Since the bookmark file is in a hidden folder, first open the Finder and press [cmd] + [Shift] + [.] . This will ensure that the file can be viewed below. Our step-by-step guide shows you how to navigate directly to the bookmarks file on your Mac:
