One second too late and the caller was forwarded to your mailbox. By default, your mailbox will turn on after 15 seconds. It doesn't have to be. You can manually extend the ringing time on your mobile phone. The setting is made using a specific code. Different digits have to be entered here depending on the mobile network provider and the desired ringing time. Follow our article to find out how you, as an o2, Telekom or Vodafone customer, can extend the ringing time of your mobile phone.

Let the cell phone ring longer

Note: The pictures in these instructions were taken with a mobile phone that runs on a Vodafone tariff. If you are an o2 or Telekom customer, the steps are the same, only the first sequence of numbers is different. You can find out what you need to enter for which provider in step 1.

1st step:

Entering the code is like a phone call. Open the telephone keypad and enter a code in the form " ** 61 * A ** B # ". At the position of the letter " A ", enter the code of your mobile phone provider : Vodafone: 5500 o2: 333 Telecom: 3311 . You may be familiar with the sequence of digits because it is also the number of your mailbox . The setting for your new ring duration is now made at the position of the letter " B " . Your ringtone can last between 5 and 30 seconds . You can also vary the time in steps of 5. So enter the value 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 and press the receiver button .

2nd step:

No actual call is then started. Your setting is confirmed by a message on the display. To exit, tap OK .
