Go up three levels until you get to C: \ Users \ username \ AppData \ Roaming . Under macOS the folder path is: " Macintosh HD> Users> Username> Library ". Note: "Username" is just a placeholder for your actual Windows username. Copy the Thunderbird folder . Either right click on the folder and select " Copy " or select the folder and press [Ctrl] + [C] .

5th step:

Back up the folder on another disk. This can be a USB stick, an external hard drive or a second hard drive in the PC. Open it, right click and select " Paste " or press [Ctrl] + [V] to paste the folder. The backup has now been created and saved.

Then open the profile folder again as described in the first steps. Navigate again three levels up to C: \ Users \ username \ AppData \ Roaming or Macintosh HD> Users> Username> Library .
