Slack is a messenger that is specially designed for teamwork. In addition to private messages, channels, so-called channels, can also be created that are located on a separate server. Each channel has a different topic, such as "General", "Project XY" or something similar. There you can discuss your project and other matters with your team.
Find a channel
Finding a channel on a Slack server is very simple and doesn't take much time.

1st step:
Open Slack and click the " Channels " entry . 2nd step:
Here you can now search for channels by entering a suitable keyword in the search field . You will then see the channels that you can join on this topic. 3rd step:
Once you have selected a channel, click the " Join Channel " button . Note: You may not be able to join a channel if it is closed and you have not been invited. If you still want to join this channel, it is best to contact a moderator or the server owner. They can then invite you or add you directly. App

In Slack, click the plus to the left of the " Channels " entry . 2nd step:
You can now give your channel a suitable name and, if necessary, add a description . You can also determine here whether the channel should be closed . So only new members can join when they receive an invitation. Click " Create " when you're done. 3rd step:
You can then add members to your channel . These can be project partners or other people who, for example, do not yet use Slack. To add the latter, all you have to do is provide their email address . Then click " Done ". App

You can then define a suitable name for your channel and add a short description . You can also specify whether the channel should be public or whether other people can only join with an invitation. You can then add members. When you're done, tap Create . Delete channel
You don't have to do much to delete a channel. However, deleting a channel is only available in the desktop version, not in the app. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

Select the channel that you want to delete. Then click the gear icon at the top . Here you can now select " Exit #name " in the menu . This will leave the channel, but will not delete its history and messages. To actually delete the channel, click on " Additional options ... " instead . 2nd step:
Now select the entry " Delete this channel ". 3rd step:
Now check the box next to " Yes, irrevocably delete this channel " and then click on the " Delete channel " button . Quick guide: Search on the desktop

- Now give your channel a name and a suitable description and add members, if desired. Then tap on " Create ".

- Select a channel on the left that you want to delete, then tap the gear icon in the upper right corner . Then select " Additional options ... ".
- Now click on " Delete Channel ". Then check the box next to " Yes, irrevocably delete this channel " and then click on " Delete channel ".
