Record timings and comments

If it is important to your PowerPoint video that the slides display for exactly how long you want, then you can record your individual passage of time . Not only that, comments that you make during the presentation can also be recorded. However, if the default settings are enough for you, you can also save your presentation as a video directly . Otherwise, read here how to record timings and comments first:

1st step:

Switch to the " slide show " and you go there to " slide show to record ."

Your presentation preview will then open. First click on " Record " in the upper left corner . Then you can click through your presentation as usual. You can create comments and markups - also in different colors - using the palette below . To end the recording, click on " Stop ".

Save a PowerPoint presentation as a video

Save your presentation as a PowerPoint file before converting it to video. To do this, click on " File " and then on " Save ".

2nd step:

Then go to " Export " (still in the " File " tab ) and then to " Create video ".

Select the video format you want from the first drop-down menu .

Under " Create video " you can specify in the drop-down menu whether you would like to use " recorded timings and comments " beforehand . If not, leave " Do not use recorded time sequences and comments " preset and select the display duration of the slides in the next step.

5th step:

By default, each slide is displayed for 5 seconds. You can change this in the " Display duration of the individual slides in seconds " field. Finally click on " Create Video ".

6th step:

Specify the storage location for the video and a file name , select either " MPEG4 Video " or " Windows Media Video " as the " Files of type " and click " Save ". The length of the process can vary depending on the length and complexity of the presentation.
