Do you want to change the email address associated with Steam? Read here how to do it..

To ensure optimal use of Steam, you need a valid email address. This is linked to your Steam account. If you set up a new e-mail address, you will also have to change it on Steam. We'll show you what to do.

Change email address on Steam

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Open the Steam Settings. To do this, click on " Steam " at the top left and then on " Settings ".

2nd step:

Then select " Change contact email address ... " in the " Account " tab .

3rd step:

If you use the Steam Authenticator on your mobile phone, you have to confirm the change again. If you don't have the app then this step will be skipped.

4th step:

You will now see your current account details again. Your current email address is shown in encrypted form. Enter the new address below and click on " Change email address ". After confirmation by email, your Steam account is now linked to the new address.

1. In Steam, click on the " Steam " tab in the upper left corner . Then select " Settings ".
2. In the " Account " area you have to select " Change contact e-mail address ... ".
3. If you use the Steam Authenticator, you have to confirm here.
4. Your current account details will now be displayed. You can enter a new email address in the field below. With a click on " Change e-mail address " you set a new e-mail address. A confirmation email will be sent to the new email address. As soon as it opens, the new email address is linked to your Steam account.
