Problem 5 - The Google Play Store

Although we are really big fans of the Android operating system, we have to admit that Android is certainly not perfect and its users encounter various issues from time to time..

Some of the issues are caused by specific devices and we collect them in this article as well, yet there are also some issues that are due to the OS itself.

Here are the general problems that Android users face and possible solutions to solve them!

Note: Some steps of these solutions mentioned below may vary depending on your device model..

Problem 1 - The battery

One of the most common issues that people face, regardless of their device, is battery drain. In some cases, the battery may not perform as well as it used to, but what is more worrying is that users may experience sudden and rapid battery drain.

Possible solutions :

If your battery is draining quickly, you can check which apps are using your battery by going to the "Battery" section in the "Settings" menu. If you notice an app that is causing unusual battery consumption, the best option is to uninstall that app. If you don't want to do this, make sure that the version of this app is up to date as these issues are often fixed by a software update..

Don't be too worried if the battery performance doesn't stay the same six months or a year after you start using your laptop.

You can still do simple things to keep battery life at a better level, such as keeping the screen brightness lower, using your laptop's battery saver mode appropriately, and use of applications such as Greenify. To learn more, please see our guide to extending your battery life.

Problem 2 - Performance

Users who experience performance issues with their Android smartphone are starting to notice more cases of lag. In more extreme cases, you would also see the device reboot randomly or heat up uncomfortably even when you are not performing any CPU intensive tasks.

Possible solutions :

Download the Greenify app from the Google Play Store. In this app, you can see a list of apps that are active when you wake up your laptop and you can change the settings for those apps, which should help you reduce slowdowns.

Malicious application can lead to performance issues.

Start the device in Safe Mode (the process varies depending on your device) and check if the problem persists. If not, a certain application could be the cause of the problem. You can remove the latest apps that you installed before the problem started. Or you can also perform a factory reset and redo all of your laptop configurations. But the latter solution is only recommended in the worst case scenario, as you will lose all your data after resetting to factory settings.

If you are truly performing a factory reset, make sure that you have backed up important files that you have stored on your laptop.

Problem 3 - The connection

With a new device, you would sometimes experience the problems connecting to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. As some devices have their specific issues when it comes to connection, here are some general steps you can try first.

Possible solutions :

1. Wi-Fi problems:

  • Turn off the device and the router for at least ten seconds, then turn them back on and try the connection again.
  • Go to “Settings” → “Energy Saving” and make sure this option is enabled.
  • Use Wi-Fi Analyzer to check your channel's congestion and move on to a better option.
  • Forget the Wi-Fi connection by going to “Settings” → “Wi-Fi” and long press the connection you want, and then select “Forget”. Re-enter the Wi-Fi details and try again.
  • Make sure that the router firmware, apps and software on the Android device are updated.
  • Head to “Wi-Fi” → “Settings” → “Advanced” and take a note of your device's MAC address and make sure its access is allowed in the router's Mac filter.

2. Bluetooth problems:

  • If you have any problem connecting to a car, check the manufacturer's manual for the device and the car and reset your connections.
  • Make sure you don't miss an essential part of the connection process.
  • Go to “Settings” → “Bluetooth” and make sure nothing needs to be changed.
  • Go to “Settings” → “Bluetooth”, delete all previous pairings and try to set them up again.
  • When it comes to the issues of connecting multiple devices, only a future update will be able to fix them.

Problem 4 - Dynamic battery saving mode causing issues

Every Android smartphone provides some form of battery saving or whatever, and if you have a device running Android 6.0 Marshmallow or higher, Doze is built-in too.

While these functions are useful for extending battery life, they can cause one main problem: delayed notifications.

Possible solutions :

If you are having the problem that notifications from apps like Gmail, WhatsApp, Facebook, and others are late or not arriving at all, you had better move those apps to the "Do not optimize" list in the "Battery" section. ". With some devices, to find this option, you can go to “Battery” → “Settings” (three vertical dots) → “Battery optimization”, then open the “All apps” section from the drop-down menu, then find the appropriate application and tap on "Do not optimize". While this list remains limited, you probably won't notice a noticeable change in battery life.

Problem 5 - The Google Play Store

Almost all Android smartphones except those in China come with built-in Google Play Store by default and it is an important app with which we can install all of our apps and make them work. However, sometimes the Google Play Store stops working as expected.

Possible solutions :

There is no fixed solution for Google Play Store issues but first you need to check that this issue is really with your device and not with Google services. After verification, there are a series of steps you can try, such as force closing app, clearing Google Play Store cache, double checking any apps or services you may have. be disabled that could affect it, and much more.
