In Skype, you can easily hide or replace your background. We'll show you how it's done..

Whether you have kids running around behind you, an awkward poster on the wall, or confidential information on a whiteboard behind you, turning off the background during a video call can be very useful. This is not a problem in the desktop version of Skype. Unfortunately, smartphone users have to do without this feature.

How to change your background on Skype

1st step:

Open Skype on your computer and click on the three-dot menu in the top left . Then select the entry " Settings " from the menu that appears . Alternatively, you can also use the key combination [Ctrl] + [,] .

2nd step:

Then select the " Audio and Video " category on the left . You can then change the background on the right under " Select background effects ". Here you have the choice of blurring the background by clicking on " Blur " or uploading your own background by clicking on " Add image ". To remove the background, simply select the " None " option .
