Would you like to go to a movie night with your friends but can't meet? Then Netflix Party is the solution!

Netflix Party is a browser extension that allows you and your friends to watch movies and series together without having to meet. You connect in Netflix and the movie starts, pauses and stops at the same time - and you can chat with your friends without leaving Netflix. The prerequisite: Every participant needs the Google Chrome browser and Netflix access. You can find out everything else in our tips + tricks article.

How to install and use Netflix Party

For Netflix Party, you should already have Google Chrome installed. Then follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions ..

1st step:

Open the Netflix Party extension in the Chrome Web Store . Here click on " Add ".

2nd step:

Confirm the process with " Add extension ".

3rd step:

The next step is to log into Netflix in the browser and start any video . Then click on the " NP " symbol in the bar at the top right. With " Only I have control " you determine whether only you should be able to start and stop the video or all. Then start the Netflix party with " Start the party ".

4th step:

Copy and share the URL with your friends using " Copy URL ". The other participants will be forwarded directly to Netflix via the link of the party. The other attendees must then log in and click the " NP " button next to the address bar to automatically join the party and chat.

5th step:

Now the film is played, stopped and paused synchronously for all participants. On the right side you can chat with your friends while the movie is playing.

6th step:

So that everyone in the chat knows who is writing something, you can change your chat name and avatar. To do this, click on your current chat on the top right. With a click on the picture you can select a chat avatar from other pictures. Under " Nickname " you can define the nickname. With " Save Changes " you save the changes.

4. Log into Netflix and play any video. Now click on the " NP " button next to the address bar.
5. Use " Only I have control " to define who can start and stop the video.
6. " Start the party " starts your party and the chat opens automatically.
7. Share the link with your friends . Of course, they must also have the add-on installed and, after opening the link, click on the " NP " button in the browser. You can then watch a Netflix movie synchronized and chat at the same time. You can enter your name by clicking on your icon.
