The Google Photos app search is a pretty useful tool. We'll tell you what you need to know about the image search here..

With Google Photos, you can save pictures or videos you take and sync them across your devices. If you have been using the app for a long time, you must have accumulated a lot of photos. Fortunately, if you want to find a specific photo there, it is still very easy - because the integrated search does it for you in no time at all.

How to use search in Google Photos

1st step:

Open the Google Photos app and tap the search bar at the top.

2nd step:

Now enter a keyword that you want to search for. These can also be locations where photos or videos were taken, names of people or different animals . You will then be shown the appropriate results.

The most useful search terms

We have compiled a list of the most important search terms for Google Photos below. These can also be combined. Try it out!

Selfies	Shows you photos that were taken with the front camera.
Videos	All videos are displayed.
Pano	Panoramas are displayed.
collage	You will be shown collages.
Effects	Shows you photos that have been processed with effects, e.g. black and white.
animation	Shows you animations.
Screenshot	All screenshots of the smartphone are displayed.
animals	Pictures or videos showing animals can be seen. Can also be refined, eg "cat".
vacation	Photos or videos that were taken in a location other than home are displayed.
Colours	Look for certain colors, for example "blue", and you will see images with mostly blue content

Selfies	Zeigt Ihnen Fotos an, die mit der Frontkamera aufgenommen wurden.

Urlaub	Fotos oder Videos, die an einem anderen Standort als zu Hause aufgenommen wurden, werden angezeigt.
Farben	Suchen Sie nach bestimmten Farben, z.B. "blue", und Sie sehen Bilder mit überwiegend blauen Inhalten
