WhatsApp users (opens new window) spend over two million minutes making calls every day. On Monday, the Facebook affiliate announced a new feature that allows its users to initiate a group video and audio call with up to four people simultaneously.
Like all WhatsApp ways of communicating, group calls are end-to-end encrypted..
The feature to make a multi-call will be available for iOS and Android users in a few days. If you added this feature, here's how to use it.
Step 1. Open WhatsApp. Go to the home screen and select the "Calls" button..
Step 2. Tap the “Call” icon in the upper right corner. This will direct you to your contacts.
Step 3. Scroll down the page and choose a contact to call. Tap on their name to call them..
Step 4. Press the “Add Participant” button in the upper right corner.
Step 5. Select the third participant. Confirm that you want to add it to the call.
Repeat this process to add the fourth participant and then you will be able to make a group call.
