1st step:

Open Skype in the browser or via the desktop or smartphone app and enter your e-mail address, telephone number or your Skype name in the login window . Then click on " Next ".

2nd step:

Then select " I forgot my password " below .

3rd step:

In the next step you have to select " I forgot my password " again and click on " Next " to confirm.

4th step:

Now enter the displayed verification code in the appropriate field. Then click on " Next ".

5th step:

Now you have to confirm your identity . You should receive a security code for this. You have to choose whether you would like to have this sent to the stored e-mail address or to your stored telephone number - as a call or SMS. Select an option and click Next .

6th step:

You have now been given a code for the selected method . Enter this in the appropriate field and then click on " Next ".

7th step:

Now you can reset your password . Think of a password that is as secure as possible . Enter this in the respective fields and confirm by clicking on " Next ".

8th step:

Your account has now been restored . You complete the process by clicking " Next ". You can now use your Skype account as usual.

1. Go to the Skype website . Go to " Sign up " with the mouse in the top right corner and then click on " Use Skype online " in the drop-down menu . If you are using the desktop or smartphone version, all you have to do is start it .
