However, if you have an older model, these are often not sealed and water can easily run into the cell phone. The faster you react now, the less chance there is of fatal water damage. How to save your cellphone

Follow our steps to ensure that your smartphone survives the water damage unscathed:

  • Use never a hair dryer to dry, to speed up the process and the device quickly. The high heat damages the sensitive technology of the smartphone.
  • For the same reasons, do not place the cell phone on a heater .
  • Do not expose the device to strong sunlight .
  • Again: do not switch the mobile phone on again immediately .
