Regardless of the reason you want to delete your Steam account - this is done in a few steps. But be careful! After deletion, you will lose access to all products that you have purchased via Steam. Refunds for the costs are not possible.

How to delete your Steam account

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Sign in to the Steam website and go to the website for your account details . Alternatively, you can click on your username in the top right corner of the Steam desktop app and then select " Account Details ".

3rd step:

Click here on " Continue to account deletion ".

4th step:

Now you need to prove that you are the actual owner of the account. You can do this by providing certain information about your account. This could be, for example: the first email address that was linked to the account; the associated phone number ; Stored payment methods or games that are linked to your account (or their keys). It may be that not all of these verification options are available. You can also write a message to support , which also includes screenshots and pictures may contain. Finally, click on " Submit ". Steam support will look at your case and then decide whether the verification is sufficient. If so, your account will be temporarily blocked and deleted after 30 days .
