Your Google account automatically gives you access to Google Contacts, where you can save the contact details of friends, acquaintances and family. In the following we will show you how you can delete your contacts there in the browser and via the smartphone app.

Delete Google contacts in the browser

Note: In order to be able to use Google Contacts in the browser, you must first log in with your Google account.

Open the Google Contacts website and hold the mouse over a contact without clicking . A box is now displayed instead of the display image . You can put a hook here . Check off each contact that you would like to delete.

After you have checked at least one contact , a bar appears at the top. Here you have to click on the three dots . Select " Delete " from the drop-down menu . In the old version of Google Contacts, instead of the three dots, you had to click a button called " More ".

Open the Google Contacts app on your Android smartphone. Then press and hold a contact. The contact picture is replaced by a tick - you have marked the contact. Tap each contact that you want to delete. Then select the trash can icon at the top . Here's how you can delete contacts.
