However, hyperlinks are not limited to the Internet. In principle, any electronic document can contain hyperlinks; texts, presentations, tables or emails that are created with Microsoft Office are no exception.

Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook or PowerPoint automatically transform URLs (Uniform Resource Locators) into hyperlinks by following the steps below:
Step 1: enter or copy and paste the desired URL in a text document, an Excel sheet or an Outlook email.
Step 2: make sure the cursor is right behind the entered address and hit the? Enter? or the space bar..
The program will then automatically replace it with a hyperlink whose destination will be the address entered.
The default format for hyperlinks in Microsoft Office products is blue underlined text.

Step 1: mark the piece of text that you want to use as the anchor text of the hyperlink. You can also use an image.
